Basic ~
Spirit Sight - The Thaumaturgist can now look into the Spirit World and find Spirits. This is not to be confused with Aura Perception, there is a vast difference. The Thaumaturgist can see and speak with Spirits in the Penumbra and Shadowlands.
Intermediate ~
Spirit Slave - The Thaumaturgist can command spirits as the Necromancy Level (Compel Spirit). The difference is in the test, as Spirit Slave is a resisted Willpower test.
Fetish - The Thaumaturgist can bind a Spirit into an Item and use their special abilities as their own. This is an incredibly taxing process and is generally done during downtime. Once in an item, you may work with the Storyteller to determine the effects of this item (Storyteller is the final authority). Examples include gaining a Gnosis pool, using the Spirit's Willpower or Rage, using a specific Charm, etc. In order to do this you must spend a Willpower, engage the Spirit in a Mental test, and if you win spend two permanent Mental traits to make it a permanent bond.
Advanced ~
Journeys- This is very similar
to Astral Projection except you are in the physical world. You can be seen
as a translucent image of yourself an may only use Mental disciplines (no
Potence, Celerity, Fortitude, or Protean). You are however impervious to
anything damaging like punches, Fire, Sunlight, and certain Paths.
